The Pistons announced today that they have traded forward Amir Johnson to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for center Fabricio Oberto. It's a cost-cutting move in which Detroit acquires the partially-guaranteed contract of Oberto, who is expected to be waived and become a free agent.
With the NBA Draft approaching Thursday, the Pistons are clearing cap room for their upcoming #15 first-round selection as well as potential free agents, who are eligible to negotiate with teams beginning July 1.
