Shock's Ford Expected To Miss Two Weeks
Shock power forward Cheryl Ford is expected to miss two more weeks recovering from surgery on her right knee. The team is extremely thin up front right now as reserve forward Plenette Pierson suffered an injury to her right shoulder during Saturday's season opener in L.A., and center Kara Braxton is serving a six-game suspension. For the time being, the Shock will continue to play Taj McWilliams at power forward, with Barb Farris filling in as the starting center.
